From 29th March to 1st April, the National Union of Worker Producers’ Co-operatives of Bulgaria (NUWPC) will organize the First European Fair of Social Enterprises and Cooperatives of persons with disabilities during the International Fair in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. During the Fair, a European conference will also be held on "Social Entrepreneurship and Europe 2020" with participation of Laszlo Andor, Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion and representatives of other European institutions. This forum will discuss the new European initiatives aimed at promoting of social entrepreneurship.
The event has been made possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and the International Fair in Plovdiv. It is the largest fair in Southeast Europe and, it has been member of the International Association of Exhibition Industry (Union des Foires Internationales) for 70 years.
The main objectives of the Fair are the development of social entrepreneurship; the exchange of experience and best practices between social enterprises and cooperatives in the EU Member States and strengthening the links between them; the increase of employment of persons with disabilities; the creation of beneficial business contacts and market research.
